Pacific Film Archive is delighted to welcome author and film critic David Thomson for six evenings of screenings and discussion in January and February. He will share his vast knowledge of cinema and his often witty insights into film history with the PFA audiences in what he envisions as a series of conversations.
Taisho-A-Go-Go-our “East-West fashion fusion party”-was an inspired re-imagination of the exhibition Taisho Chic: Japanese Modernity, Nostalgia, and Deco and its modern equivalent, Tokyo's unique Harajuku culture. The word “colorful” applies not only to the hanging lanterns and origami cranes but also to the excited party-goers whose energy, enthusiasm, and creative fashions made the event such a success.
