The MATRIX program is turning thirty! MATRIX still leads the field as a laboratory for new art in an ever-changing world of ideas. Bringing fresh and energetic thinking to the program, our new Phyllis Wattis MATRIX Curator, Elizabeth Thomas, will lead a year of innovative projects in celebration of the thirtieth anniversary.

Digital culture has radically changed how we see and experience the world. BAM/PFA inaugurated a digital media curatorial program with the debut exhibition, RIP.MIX.BURN.BAM.PFA, which explored the contemporary practice of remixing existing works of art.
