The avant-garde in your backyard: PFA’s Tuesday evening showcase brings new works by Ute Aurand, Harun Farocki, and others to Berkeley. Of related interest are Eleanor Antin’s The Man Without a World, Abraham Ravett’s Everything’s for You, Ken Jacobs’s Urban Peasants, presented in the series Jesters and Gestures: Performing Yiddish Culture from Silent Cinema to Avant-Garde Film.

PFA’s avant-garde showcase is curated by Kathy Geritz. The fall season of Alternative Visions is presented in conjunction with the UC Berkeley course Avant-Garde Film, taught by Jeffrey Skoller.
