Tonight, Lim takes us on a wide-ranging tour through the outer limits of Lynch’s filmography, from fledgling efforts to online interventions and other moving-image oddities. Lynch’s fertile imagination has never lain fallow between his better-known features, yielding a substantial body of peripheral projects in the form of web series, one-off short films, albums, paintings, comic strips, television commercials, fashion, and furniture design. Perhaps the most enigmatic of all, however, are Lynch’s daily weather reports. Both low-tech and low-affect, they serve as precise doses of Lynchiness. And who better than Lynch to take the temperature of banality? (Light Industry)
