Family Fare: Enter the Otherworldly

  • Artist in person

Beth Krebs is an artist and educator with an MFA from Rutgers University. When not working on her own art projects, she can be found teaching school groups at the deYoung Museum and adults at the San Francisco Art Institute.

Inspired by paintings in Charles Howard: A Margin of Chaos, which feature dreamlike images composed of shapes both recognizable and unrecognizable, use gouache and other materials to make your own surreal mixed-media compositions.

About Family Fare

On the second Saturday of each month, Family Fare connects art viewing with art making in ways that engage both young people and their grown-ups. In each session, families participate in guided viewing and discussion in the galleries with a UC Berkeley graduate-student guide. Then, they explore related ideas in the Art Lab with an experienced teaching artist. Each session focuses on a different group of artworks and related hands-on activities.
